Overview |
The Field Hockey competition will welcoma a maximum of 14 teams (8 women's & 6 men's), or about 200 participants.
There are two parts to the competition: a preliminary round and a medal round. The preliminary round will be played in pools. The number of registrations in each division will determine the size of the pools. This will be held in a round robin format where each team plays every other team within the same pool. The competition will then proceed to medal playoffs and continuing rounds. Participants are guaranteed to play at least four 70-minute games in the tournament. |
Rules |
Rules of the International Hockey Federation (IHF) will be used, with some modifications possible. Modifications will be posted on these pages in 2005. Each team will be composed of 11 to 14 players. |
Participant's Requirements |
For participation at the field hockey competition you have to be a practising or formerly practising field hockey player. You have to have a good physical condition and participation is at your own risk. |
Additional information |
If you do not know any other field hockey players, or if you are not yet a member of an existing hockey team, do not worry as we will attempt to set up composite teams. As long as you are a hockey player it does not matter if you are a good one or not, participation and enjoyment is the most important requirement. |
Special needs / Not Included |
The organisation or any other participants involved with the organisation such as the Eurogames, PINKHOCKEY, KNHB, IHF, PANN, local clubs or the owner of the pits, club (hous) and dressing rooms or any members of previous organisations, can be under no circumstances responsible for any damage to good, personal items, participants or visitors. All risk off participation will be for the participants and insurance is the responsibility of each individual participant. One must take into account that the following is covered: damaging or loss of goods or personal items and personal injury or woundings for yourself or any participant or guest. |
Closing Registration |
Unless registration is full in an earlier stage, registration for this sport will close at 1 April 2005. |
