Karen Ebert was born in Amsterdam and mostly works with iron. By bowing and welding, cutting and grinding she transforms the hard and surly material into a soft article that is tempting to touch. The objects she makes are 'common': dresses, tables, chairs, etcetera. Everyday things of use, so to say. But in the way Karen Ebert displays her art, it gets another dimension, a dimension in which the humour is clearly present.
Margriet Hogewind was born in the year 1943. As the granddaughter of a painter she grew up in the smell of paint and varnish. Her first love was fotography, but she became a librarian. Margriet works in several diferent styles: geometric forms, figurative forms and near realism – reality with a twist. Her personal touch is chiefly based in the way she uses her materials.

Sigrid Kottelaar: "When the feeling of security occurs, I undermine it and I try to discover something new again."
Lukas Kwant: "As an artist I am inspired by the male nude for my paintings and drawings. My work is a combination of a wide range of strong colours and directness in pencil stroke. I like to work directly
with materials and model so the expression stays close to myself, no interference. Somehow they are realistic and at the same time they are an abstract impression of the male body or the male portraits."
